Great family run campsite set in the Kent woods just outside Canterbury. Decent outside showers with one inside shower, shared kitchen, shop and common area. You can't park directly by your tent, but the family will drive down your gear.

Lovely little campsite with so much character! Matt and his son are lovely and gave us a hand whenever we needed. The location of the campsite is gorgeous with its woods and nearby area dating back to the 1700s. The campsite itself is amazing and homely, and stands out for the creative and vintage feel of its facilities. 10/10 would recommend!

Arrived late in the day, after a nearby pub had let me down with food. Matt was really helpful and pulled together some bits to keep me going. Great to have a place where there are firepits, and very reasonably priced too. Also on the route of the Saxon Shore Way, which was ideal for me! Couldn't have been more helpful - and cool site - fun and quirky, plenty of space! It's proper woodland, with a full-on dawn chorus - may want earplugs - birds really go for it!

We had an amazing time. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The site has lots of lovely walking routes nearby and is very well presented. Electrical hook ups, indoor bathrooms, showers and appliances made our stay very comfortable. We look forward to coming back again soon.

I have now visited here three times each time staying in the Lodge,Mat is a friendly guy and the lodge is cosy with the log burner on

The Horsebox at Puddledock Woods

Our sympathetically restored vintage horsebox offers a rustic getaway for a couple. The Horsebox has a surrounding picket fence and seating and a fire pit for evening barbecues. On chilly nights you can light the indoor log burner.

It is situated in the meadow which also houses the Waggon and the wildlife pond. The is ample parking alongside.

Inside, there is a comfortable double bed above the original cab accessed by wooden steps – Unfortunately, this means that the Horsebox is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

We include a microwave oven, fridge, hob, kettle, toaster, and washing up facilities. Bed linen and tea towels are supplied.

There is an adjoining private shower housed in a small trailer to the side and the main shower block, toilets and washing up facilities are within a short walk from the Horsebox when required.
