I stayed here with my partner and a friend and we enjoyed every minute we was there a beautiful bit of land. You are left alone to enjoy your night (as long as you respect the land) each plot had its own fire pit and onsite wood you can buy this is just amazing Honestly the best place such a calm and peaceful area the people that run this place have really done themself proud honestly will be returning. Parker31. March, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just a quality set up. Went with two other mates. £15 a night. Bargain. A nice area where you get to pitch up wherever you like. Spread out or by other wild campers or even by the lodges/campers. Fire places already there if you want to use or make your own. You get left alone on the basis as you be adult about your stay and you’re honest in what you buy in terms of logs for the fire etc. There are toilets and shower blocks, with a kitchen to wash your cooking sets etc, or if you wanna proper wild it you can. The site is the best of both worlds it really is. The family is amazing that own the land. Very nice and will do anything for anyone. The best thing is. They free roaming cats! Great hosts that are very welcoming and friendly. Many other campers use this site regularly as a go to place, which speaks volumes for how good this place is. Cheers Clive & Julie + kids.
Our sympathetically restored vintage horsebox offers a rustic getaway for a couple. The Horsebox has a surrounding picket fence and seating and a fire pit for evening barbecues. On chilly nights you can light the indoor log burner.
It is situated in the meadow which also houses the Waggon and the wildlife pond. The is ample parking alongside.
Inside, there is a comfortable double bed above the original cab accessed by wooden steps – Unfortunately, this means that the Horsebox is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
We include a microwave oven, fridge, hob, kettle, toaster, and washing up facilities. Bed linen and tea towels are supplied.
The horsebox has its own private, inside flushing toilet – and the site’s main shower block, toilets and washing up facilities are within a short walk from the Horsebox when required.
